Oats

Whole oats can be fed to birds, but pinhead oatmeal is far more important. It can be bought on its own, the husks from the grain having been removed and the seed finely chopped, or it may be obtained as part of a seed mixture, combined with such ingredients as sunflower seed, peanuts, wheat or maize.
