Philomachus pugnax
Extinct as a regular breeder from eastern counties in England 1850; there were sporadic records to 1922. Return started in 1963 on the Ouse Washes and up to 10 leks reported most in traditional areas but some in Anglesey, North-west England and Scotland (only proved once) but fewer recently.
